FAQ & Common Typing Rates Info

 ACCOUNT
Your service account information and personal information is deleted after three (3) days unless you are on the membership program.

BANKING
This service requires banking (preferably Online Banking) to ensure payments are made in a safe and secure way. (WIRE TRANSFER- Should client wire transfer the funds, the client will have to wait for service until the funds are cleared completely.)

 

BAHAMIANS (LOCALS, CITIZENS, FOREIGNERS IN THE BAHAMAS)
This typing service is for persons based in The Bahamas (New Providence).  It is a Bahamian based service, therefore the layouts are what is commonly used in The Bahamas.

CLIENT SATISFACTION
If you are not satisfied with your document, a legitimate reason must be given.  If the reason is accepted, the typist will give the client an extra three (3) rounds of correction service in order to troubleshoot any problems and to give the client the satisfaction desired.

It is recommended that the client ask as many clear and concise questions as possible to ensure the typist understands what the client requires.  Also please analyze the layout samples on the site to attain a clearer idea of what your document will basically look like once completed.

 

CORRECTION SERVICE
Once document has been typed client will receive a sample via whatsapp or email to check.  If corrections are required, the client must inform the typist.  The typist gives a maximum of 3 rounds of corrections.  After the 3^rd time, the typist will NOT make any further corrections.  You will be notified how many rounds of corrections have been made until all rounds are used or approval is given.  Please take your time to read and check your documents properly.  The typist will NOT be responsible for any errors after the correction service.

DELAY OF SERVICE
The typist will notify the client if there are any unforeseeable problems that may/will cause a delay in service (electricity/internet/wifi/backup of documents/clientele, ETC.)

 

FOREIGNERS
Currently, there are no services for foreigners at this time.  However, Trendy Typistry is working on expanding in the near future.

HACKING
The typist is not responsible for any hacking/cyber issues.

HARASSMENT
Any form of harassment will result in your number being blocked.  This is a business.

 

NON-APPROVED DOCUMENTS
The typist reserves the right to not type ANY document after assessment for any reason and the typist does not have to give an explanation beyond it not being an Approved Document in the assessment phase.

 

PLAGIARISM/FORGING DOCUMENTS
No plagiarism or forging of documents

 

PRINTING ISSUES
This business is NOT a printing/scanning/copy service, it is Typing Only.

The typist is not at fault for any printing issues or layout issues caused by any printing services you engage.

 

PRIVACY & DELETION OF INFORMATION
All documents are confidential and deleted in three (3) days or sooner if requested.  Your number is also deleted after a period of time.

 

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Once funds have been deposited to the account, there is absolutely NO refund.

Upon receiving your assessment in the first step of the process, you must decide if you want the service or not because when the funds have been deposited to the account, the typist will immediately create your document.  As such, the typist’s time is being used.

If you decide you want to cancel the service during the typing process, you have automatically forfeited the funds and your information/contact will be deleted.  So please be certain you desire the service BEFORE depositing the funds and squandering the typist’s time.

RESEARCH & CALCULATIONS (MATH) 
The freelancer/typist is NOT responsible for any research or mathematical errors.  She also doesn't do research or calculations whatsoever.  The client must do their own research and mathematical formulas and ensure that they are all correct during the Correction phase.

SERVICE TIME FRAME
The client will receive his/her sample document to review within the time frame the client gives at the assessment.  The typist reserves the right to extend the time if need be without repercussions.  The client will be informed if there is any delay.

 

TRAVEL
Should the typist be traveling, the typist will inform the client in advance if she will be able to assist where she is or will recommend a company.

UNDERSTANDING FEES

At Trendy Typistry trust and transparency is key therefore, the following is a breakdown of the fees that are charged for service.

1. Document Layout Fee:
This is the cost of the specific document and these funds go toward business expenses such as rent, business license, NIB etc.

The document layout fees are set prices for 1page documents, additional pages require an increase

3. Freelancer Fee:
This fee is calculated by only adding the total document cost and additional pages cost together.  This small artistry fee is a direct payment to the Freelancer and is only charged for Special Layout documents.

What do professional typists charge for their services?

After some digging, I’ve come up with some typical pricing ranges and structures for document typing, audio transcription, and data entry services.

Keep in mind that price ranges for typing services vary based on geographic location and experience level. The rates listed here are standard for North America-based professional typists.

Document typing rates

Document typing, also known as copy typing, is the conversion of one text format (such as handwritten notes or a PDF document) to another (usually a Microsoft Word document or other editable file).

The most common pricing structure for document typing is per typed page. Standard per-page rates range from $4-15 USD per typed page, depending on turnaround and other requirements. A page is commonly defined as 350 words in length.

Alternately, the typist may charge per hour. For North America-based typists, standard hourly rates range from $25-40 USD for straight typing.

Finally, some typists charge per word. During my research, I noted rates of up to 5 cents per word for straight typing.

Not all document typing jobs are the same. Factors that may affect the price include:

• Legibility of the source document (handwriting takes the typist longer to read)
• Extra requirements, such as editing or proofreading
• Special formatting requests
• Turnaround time

Projects with specialized subject matter, such as medical and legal typing, typically cost more.
